social media platforms were agog on Thursday with comments from millions of Nigerian youths, condemning President Muhammadu Buhari’s derogatory statement against them.
Many of the youths who took to the platforms asked President Buhari to visit Oshodi, Alaba and Ariara Market in the west and the eastern part of Nigeria to see hardworking youths despite government’s ineptitude.
The youths posted different pictures of young Nigerians sweating in the sun to make ends meet despite the failure of successive governments to provide basic facilities to help their talents.
President Buhari had said at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Westminster, UK that a lot of Nigerian youths are lazy and prefer to sit and get everything free.
The president’s words attracted loads of criticisms, which of course arose the anger of many Nigerian youths.
However, the Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina had said that the president was misinterpreted, adding that a lot of youths did not mean all Nigerian youths.
